Ken Lane

Business Advisor

Ken has more than thirty years of experience in providing strategic guidance for companies in the Lawn, Gardening and Horticulture space. He has helped companies of various sizes, stages and ownerships to grow their value with his expertise in sales, marketing, forecasting and P/L planning. He has a strong background in Retail and Direct-to-Consumer Gardening, having served as Chief Marketing Officer for Stark Bro’s Nurseries & Orchards Co., Vice President of Marketing & eCommerce for White Flower Farm and Director of Marketing for Jackson & Perkins, among other prominent clients in the gardening industry.

Ken is an active member of American Hort, American Catalog Mailers Association and a former Board Member of the Direct Gardening Association. He is also involved in his local community, where he supports various causes such as the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Economic Development Committee, United Way fund and the YMCA Board.

Ken is a native New Englander who holds a BS/BA in Management Information Systems and Finance. He was the first recipient of Staples’ “In Search of Excellence” award and a frequent speaker at industry events. He enjoys running marathons and cheering for all Boston sports teams.
